Russian Pointe’s pre-arched construction involves an innovative design process throughout the pointe shoe, including the shank, sole and fabric of the shoe. Pre-arching creates a fit more closely aligned with the shape of the foot on pointe, helping to minimize break-in time and reducing strain on the shank. Dancers with high arches experience less pressure on the front of the foot. Those with low arches find it easier to reach full pointe.
